Falcon Eyes Parabolische Octabox 90 cm UOB-90HC w/ Honeycomb
Falcon Eyes Parabolic Octabox 90 cm UOB-90HC with Honeycomb | Shape flash light with more control
Flash light can spread across a portrait or background when you only want to brighten your subject. The Falcon Eyes UOB-90HC is a 90 cm parabolic octabox with a honeycomb grid, giving you a way to shape flash light and limit where it falls. It suits photographers who want more direction from their lighting, especially for portraits and smaller product setups where spill onto nearby areas can be distracting. Use the octabox to create a larger, softer-looking light source, then use the honeycomb to keep its spread more contained. That makes it easier to keep attention on a face or object without lighting as much of the surrounding scene. The 90 cm size gives you a defined working area, so it’s worth planning where to place it in a compact room. This is a focused light-shaping option, rather than a modifier for lighting a very broad area.
Specialist Note
“Does the honeycomb make a difference on this 90 cm octabox?” Yes: it helps keep the light aimed at your subject instead of spreading as widely around the scene. I’d suggest it for a portrait where you want the background to stay quieter, or for a small product shot where stray light can flatten the look. Start with the octabox near the subject, then adjust its angle until the light falls where you want it; the 90 cm size gives you a clear reference for placing it. The trade-off is that the grid makes placement more deliberate, so take a moment to aim it rather than expecting broad coverage.
