Filmsticks ClapperBoard Kit Tiny - USA Version

Filmsticks ClapperBoard Kit Tiny - USA Version | A small-format slate for production

Without a slate, scene and take details can be harder to pick out when you’re reviewing footage. The Filmsticks ClapperBoard Kit Tiny - USA Version is a clapperboard kit for film and video crews who want a slate as part of their on-set routine. A clapperboard gives the camera a clear visual reference for identifying a take; its clap also gives the editor a sound cue to line up with the picture. The “Tiny” name signals a small-format option, which may suit productions where a larger slate would be awkward to handle. It’s a straightforward piece of studio equipment, rather than a camera accessory with a long list of technical features. If you’re choosing a slate, the useful question is whether this named format and USA version match the way your production works.

Using a clapperboard on set

A slate is most helpful when it becomes a consistent part of the recording routine: show it clearly, identify the take, then clap so the visual and audio references are captured together. That gives the people reviewing the footage a practical starting point, especially when several takes of a scene have been recorded. Keep the slate’s writing legible in the shot and make sure the clap is recorded; those simple habits matter more than adding ceremony to the process. The product name identifies this as the Tiny, USA Version, so it’s worth thinking about the format your crew expects to use before building it into a workflow. If you want a clapperboard kit in that named version, this is the one to consider.
