Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p Black Glow Mist 1/4 Filter - Black
Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p Black Glow Mist 1/4 Filter - Black | Add a soft, atmospheric glow to highlights
The Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p Black Glow Mist 1/4 Filter is defined by its Black Glow Mist effect, giving Osmo Pocket users a way to pursue a softer, more atmospheric image rather than a crisp, neutral look. It’s best suited to people who want light sources to feel more present in a scene, or who prefer a gentler visual character in their footage. Think street scenes after dark, with lamps in the frame, or portraits where a softer rendering feels more appropriate than a sharply defined one. The 1/4 strength offers a clear creative direction: this is an effect filter, not a neutral filter for changing exposure. The product name identifies it for Osmo Pocket use, so it’s a specialist accessory for that camera system. If you enjoy shaping the mood of your footage in-camera, this filter gives you a deliberately softened look to work with.
Specialist Note
This Freewell Black Glow Mist 1/4 is for adding a soft glow around bright details in Osmo Pocket footage. I’d consider it when you’re filming a night street with lamps in view, or making a portrait where you want a gentler feel: let the lights sit in the composition and use the filter for that more atmospheric rendering. The 1/4 marking tells you this is a defined strength, so I’d treat the effect as part of the look rather than expect an invisible change. Its Black Glow Mist designation is the key point here. If you want a clean, neutral image, this isn’t the filter I’d reach for; choose it when you actively want that softened character.
