Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p Black Glow Mist 1/4 Filter - White
Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p Black Glow Mist 1/4 Filter - White | Softer highlights, a gentler image
Bright highlights take on a softer glow, giving your Osmo Pocket footage a gentler, less stark look. This Freewell Black Glow Mist 1/4 filter is for creators who want that subtle diffusion in their pictures without changing the kind of scenes they film. It’s especially suited to face-to-camera clips, portraits and scenes with bright lights or reflections, where a little softness can make the image feel less crisp and clinical. The 1/4 strength is the key detail: it identifies this as a restrained level of the Black Glow Mist effect, rather than a heavy, visibly hazy look. Use it when you want highlights to bloom softly while keeping the overall scene recognisable. It’s a considered creative choice, not a correction filter: if you prefer sharp, contrasty footage with no visible glow around bright areas, this effect may not be to your taste.
Specialist Note
The Freewell Osmo Pocket Black Glow Mist 1/4 Filter is best at taking the edge off bright highlights without making the whole picture look foggy. “Black Glow Mist” describes the soft, glowing treatment around brighter parts of the scene; the 1/4 strength keeps that effect on the gentler side. I’d consider it for a face-to-camera clip near a bright window, or for evening footage with point lights in the frame. Compose so those highlights sit where you want them, then let the filter soften their appearance. It suits Osmo Pocket users who want a more atmospheric image. If you want every highlight to stay crisp, this isn’t the look to choose.
