Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p ND16/PL Filter - Black
Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p ND16/PL Filter - Black | Control light and reflections outdoors
Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p ND16/PL Filter - Black combines an ND16 filter with a PL polarising element for Osmo Pocket users filming outdoors. It suits anyone who wants more control over bright daylight scenes, especially when reflections compete with the subject. Think sunlit streets, water or glass: the ND16/PL pairing is intended for conditions where managing light and reflected glare can help keep a shot looking composed. It’s most at home in bright surroundings, rather than as an all-day filter you leave on regardless of the light. For a compact-camera setup, the appeal is having two different kinds of light control in one filter. The black version is a straightforward fit for a discreet-looking setup, while the ND16/PL designation tells you the specific kind of control it offers.
Specialist Note
At a sunny waterfront, this filter earns its place when bright water and reflected glare compete for attention. I’d use the ND16 to cut four stops of light, giving you room for a slower shutter in strong daylight. The PL element can reduce reflections from water or glass; its effect changes with your shooting angle, so adjust your framing and judge the result on screen. That pairing suits Osmo Pocket owners making outdoor clips of moving water, boats or reflective streets. One honest limit: four stops is a substantial reduction, so I’d take the filter off as the light fades rather than keep it on into dusk.
