Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p ND32 Filter - Black
Freewell Osmo Pocket 4p ND32 Filter - Black | Control bright-light exposure
The defining choice is ND32 density: it cuts the light reaching the camera by five stops, helping you keep a slower shutter in bright conditions. This Freewell filter is named for the Osmo Pocket 4p, and suits Pocket users who want more control over the look of outdoor footage than the available light allows on its own. It’s particularly useful in strong daylight, when a fast shutter can make movement look abrupt. With the light reduced, you can use a more deliberate shutter setting and retain smoother-looking motion in a moving scene. The ND32 strength is a focused option rather than an all-day setting; it’s most relevant when the light is intense. For changing light, you may need to take it off as conditions dim. The black finish gives the filter its stated colour, while the main creative benefit comes from its light reduction.
Specialist Note
If you film sunlit walks, moving traffic or water with an Osmo Pocket 4p, this filter is aimed at the bright end of the day. ND32 reduces exposure by five stops, which gives you room to use a slower shutter for smoother motion instead of letting daylight force a very fast one. For 25 fps footage, try 1/50 sec when the light allows, then let the filter help bring exposure under control. Its named Osmo Pocket 4p fit makes it a specific accessory for that setup, not a general-purpose filter. One thing to bear in mind: ND32 is quite strong, so it’s best suited to bright scenes rather than fading evening light.
