Godox Black & White Reflector Disc - 60cm

Godox Black & White Reflector Disc - 60cm | Shape light with two contrasting surfaces

When a portrait has a patch of unwanted shadow, a reflector disc can give you a simple way to adjust the light without changing your camera settings. The Godox Black & White Reflector Disc is a 60cm reflector for photographers who want to work with reflected light or control how much light reaches part of a scene. Its black and white surfaces offer contrasting approaches: use the white side to bounce light back into the subject, or the black side to reduce reflected light. That makes it particularly suited to close-up portrait and still-life setups, where small changes in light can be easy to see. At 60cm, it’s a focused tool rather than a large background or broad studio surface. You’ll need to position it in relation to the subject and the available light; the disc itself doesn’t replace a light source.

For a portrait, try placing the white side opposite a window or lamp so some of that light returns towards the shadowed side of the face. Turn to the black side when you want less bounce and deeper shadows. The difference is straightforward, but the result depends on where the light is coming from and how close the disc is to the subject. That makes this reflector useful when you’re making small, deliberate adjustments rather than trying to change the whole lighting setup. It can also help when photographing an object on a table: move the disc around and watch how the balance of light changes before you take the shot. The 60cm size gives you a defined area to work with, so keep it close to the scene when you want its effect to be more noticeable.
