GREEN.L MC-CPL 95mm
GREEN.L MC-CPL 95mm | Tame reflections and deepen skies
Reflections on water or glass can hide detail, while a bright sky may look pale in a photograph. The GREEN.L MC-CPL 95mm is a circular polarizing filter: rotate it to change how polarized light reaches the lens, helping reduce reflections and bring more depth to skies. It suits photographers who want hands-on control over these effects while composing, rather than relying on editing later. For water, turn the filter while watching the reflections through your viewfinder or screen; for a sky, adjust it as you frame until the effect looks right. The result depends on the light and your shooting angle, so the change may be subtle in some scenes. The 95mm size is intended for a lens with a matching 95mm filter thread. If your lens takes a different size, this filter won’t fit directly.
Specialist Note
At a lakeside, I’d start with the 95mm filter fitted to a lens with a matching thread, then rotate it slowly while watching the water. That gives you a clear way to judge how much reflection you want to keep or reduce. The CPL designation means it’s a circular polarizer, so it’s also useful when you want a richer-looking sky: adjust it as you compose, rather than expecting one fixed setting to suit every direction of light. I’d recommend it to someone who deliberately works with reflections outdoors. Its effect depends on the scene and angle, so it won’t remove every reflection.
