H&Y RevoRing Variable ND3-1000+CPL Filter MkII 82-95mm
H&Y RevoRing Variable ND3-1000+CPL Filter MkII 82-95mm | Variable exposure control with polarisation built in
Bright daylight can make it hard to keep your preferred shutter speed while filming, and reflections can distract from the scene. The H&Y RevoRing Variable ND3-1000+CPL Filter MkII combines variable neutral-density filtration with a CPL, so you can adjust the light entering the lens and manage reflected glare with one filter. Its ND range runs from ND3 to ND1000, giving you room to respond as light levels change. The stated 82–95mm range makes it relevant to lenses with filter sizes in that span. This filter suits photographers and video makers who want exposure flexibility outdoors, particularly when they’re working in changing daylight or want more control over reflections. The CPL function can help reduce glare from reflective surfaces and bring out sky contrast; the effect depends on the scene and the filter’s orientation. It’s a practical combination when switching between those tasks matters more than carrying separate filters.
Specialist Note
Juggling strong daylight and distracting reflections can mean reaching for two separate filters; this H&Y brings variable ND and CPL functions together. The ND3–1000 range gives you a broad span of light reduction: increase the ND effect when bright conditions make it difficult to keep your chosen shutter speed. For reflections, adjust the CPL orientation while watching the surface or sky in your frame. The 82–95mm range is useful if your lenses’ filter sizes fall within that span, so it can serve a lens kit with larger filter diameters. I’d look at it for outdoor video and landscape work. One practical limit: it isn’t a fit for lenses outside that stated size range.
