Hahnemühle Hah DFA Photo Rag Ultra Smooth 305GSM 111.8cmx12m

Hahnemühle Hah DFA Photo Rag Ultra Smooth 305GSM 111.8cmx12m | A wide roll for planned print runs

The defining choice is a 111.8 cm-wide roll, 12 m long: this format gives you a continuous length of Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth paper to work with. It suits photographers and print studios who need paper in a roll rather than a pre-cut sheet, and whose planned prints fit within that width. The product name also identifies the paper as Ultra Smooth and gives its weight as 305 GSM, useful details when you’re comparing paper by its stated finish and weight. What this description can tell you clearly is the format and those named attributes; it doesn’t need to promise a particular look in your finished print. If your print plan already calls for this width and roll length, the key decision is straightforward: this is the Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth in that size.

Choosing the roll format

A roll is worth considering when the dimensions of your planned work matter more than buying paper in a fixed sheet size. With 111.8 cm across and 12 m along the roll, you can plan how much length a job needs and how several pieces might be cut from the same supply. The actual number of prints will depend on the dimensions you choose, so it’s sensible to map out the job before you start cutting. That’s a practical point, not a promise about how the paper will behave in a printer.

The title’s “Photo Rag Ultra Smooth” name and 305 GSM designation help identify the specific paper you’re selecting; they’re also useful terms to keep at hand when ordering the same stock again. I’d make the roll dimensions the first check against your print plan. If those fit, the listed name and weight give you the remaining identifiers in a concise form, without needing to guess at other properties from the product title.
