Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 50 INCHX12 M

Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 50 INCHX12 M | Wide-format paper by the metre

For wide-format prints where you want room to work across the page, Hahnemühle Hemp 290GSM 50 INCHX12 M is a roll of printer paper with a stated weight of 290 gsm, a width of 50 inches and a length of 12 metres. That combination gives you a broad working width and a continuous length to plan around, rather than a stack of pre-cut sheets. It suits print studios and makers who already work with roll paper and want to prepare larger images or a sequence of prints from one roll. The name identifies it as Hemp; the useful details for planning a job are the weight and the roll dimensions. If you’re choosing paper for a particular print, those numbers give you a concrete starting point for laying out the image and estimating how much roll length it will use.

A 50-inch width can make a difference when your image needs more horizontal space, or when you’re arranging several smaller designs across a wider working area. The 12-metre length is also helpful for thinking through a run: estimate the length needed for each print, then allow for the cuts and spacing your workflow requires. At 290 gsm, the paper has a clearly stated substantial weight, so include that figure when comparing media for a job. The honest practical point is that dimensions alone don’t tell you how a paper will render a particular image; your artwork and intended result matter too. For a considered purchase, begin with the actual print size you need and the roll width your work calls for. This Hahnemühle roll gives you those key measurements upfront, without making you guess at its format.
