Hama Audio Cable 3.5mm Jack - 3.5mm Jack Stereo 5.0 M

Hama Audio Cable 3.5mm Jack - 3.5mm Jack Stereo 5.0 M | Connect stereo audio across five metres

Its 5.0-metre length gives you more room to place connected audio equipment than a short lead allows. This Hama cable suits anyone who needs to link two devices with matching 3.5mm stereo jack connections, such as when the sockets aren’t right beside each other. It has a 3.5mm jack at each end, so its purpose is simple: carry stereo audio between those connections. Use it to bridge the distance between an audio output and an input, with enough length to route the cable around a desk or across part of a room. The black finish is understated, which helps it sit quietly among other cables. One practical point: five metres can be handy for positioning, but it does leave more cable to manage than a short connection.

Planning the cable run

Before connecting anything, consider the path the cable needs to take. Measure the route between the two devices, rather than judging the distance by how far apart they sit in a straight line. A cable may need to go around furniture or follow an edge, and that uses some of its length. Keep the route in mind when deciding where to place each device; a little planning can help avoid leaving a loose coil in the way or pulling the cable tight.

Both ends use the same 3.5mm stereo jack format, so the key is having a matching socket at each end of the connection. This is a straightforward cable for that specific job, without a change of connector type along its length. If your setup needs a different plug or socket, this cable won’t provide that conversion. For a direct stereo audio connection where the 3.5mm jack format is right, its five-metre reach gives you flexibility in how you arrange the equipment.
