Hama Filter Premium UV 390 Nano 77 mm
Hama Filter Premium UV 390 Nano 77 mm | UV filtering for a matching lens
For outdoor scenes where you want a UV filter on the lens, the Hama Filter Premium UV 390 Nano 77 mm gives you a clearly sized option to consider. It’s a UV filter, and the 77 mm in its name identifies its size; that makes it relevant to lenses that take a 77 mm filter. The UV 390 Nano designation is part of this model’s name, without needing to treat it as an exposure setting or a camera feature. This filter suits photographers who want a UV-filtering option for a compatible lens, whether they’re making landscape photographs or simply prefer to keep a filter fitted while shooting outdoors. Its appeal is straightforward: a named UV filter in a specific size, rather than a filter with a creative colour or diffusion effect. Match the size to the lens, and you’ll know what role it’s intended to play.
Choosing the right size
The 77 mm measurement matters when choosing a filter: it needs to match the filter size of the lens you plan to use it on. If you use more than one lens, don’t assume they all take the same size. This filter’s UV designation describes its category, so it’s a simple option when UV filtering is the purpose. It isn’t a variable-effect filter; its role is set by the type named on the product.
Specialist Note
Leaving the front of a lens without the UV filter you want to use is the practical problem this model addresses. I’d first match its 77 mm size to the filter size on your lens; that single number is what makes it suitable for one lens and not another. The UV 390 wording identifies its UV-filter role, so it makes sense for outdoor landscapes or everyday daylight photography when that’s the kind of filter you want fitted. It’s a straightforward choice, rather than a filter for changing colour or adding a special effect. Keep in mind that 77 mm is a specific size, not a universal fit.
