Hama Filter Profi Line Pol Circular Nano 49 mm
Hama Filter Profi Line Pol Circular Nano 49 mm | Control reflections outdoors
The Hama Profi Line Pol Circular Nano combines circular polarising with a 49 mm size, making it a specific option for lenses that take this filter size. It suits photographers who want more control over reflections and glare in outdoor scenes, especially when water, glass or shiny leaves are distracting from the subject. A polarising filter can reduce those reflections, and rotating it lets you adjust the effect while composing. It can also deepen the appearance of a blue sky when the light and shooting angle are right. That makes it useful for landscapes, travel scenes and reflective details, rather than a general-purpose protective filter. The Nano designation is part of this model’s name; the practical reason to choose it is its polarising function in the size you need. For the effect to be adjustable, turn the filter while looking at the scene and stop when the reflections are reduced to your liking.
Specialist Note
49 mm is the filter size, so this one is for a lens with a matching 49 mm filter thread. The circular polarising design is useful when you want to fine-tune reflections rather than accept a fixed result: for a lake or shop window, rotate the filter as you watch the reflected glare change, then settle on the balance that keeps the scene looking natural. I’d point this out to someone who often photographs outdoors or through reflective surfaces. One practical limit: polarising filters reduce the light reaching the camera, so they’re less convenient when light is already low. In bright conditions, that trade-off is easier to manage.
