Hama Filter Profi Line Pol Circular Nano 52 mm
Hama Filter Profi Line Pol Circular Nano 52 mm | Tame reflections and deepen skies
Reflections on water, glass or glossy leaves can hide the detail you wanted to photograph. A circular polarising filter helps reduce those reflections and can make a blue sky look deeper, giving you more control over how bright surfaces appear in the frame. The Hama Profi Line Pol Circular Nano is a 52 mm filter for photographers whose lens has a matching filter thread and who want to adjust that effect while composing. Turn the filter to vary the polarising effect, then check the viewfinder or screen before taking the shot. It’s especially useful for landscape scenes with sky and foliage, or for photographing through a shop window or across water. The effect depends on the light and the angle you’re shooting from, so it won’t remove every reflection. It also reduces the light reaching the camera, something to bear in mind when choosing your exposure.
Specialist Note
A polariser does cost you some light, so it isn’t my pick when keeping every bit of brightness is the main concern. Its appeal here is the practical control: the 52 mm size gives you a clear match to a lens with a 52 mm filter thread, while “circular” identifies the polariser type for use with camera metering and autofocus systems. For a landscape, turn the filter while watching the sky and foliage; stop when the blue deepens without making it look unnaturally dark. For a window or water surface, adjust it until the reflection is reduced enough to reveal what’s behind it. It suits someone who wants to shape reflections in-camera rather than rely on editing later.
