Hama Filter Profi Line UV Nano 72 mm
Hama Filter Profi Line UV Nano 72 mm | Straightforward UV filtering
The defining choice is the UV filter itself: this Hama is made to filter ultraviolet light, giving you a dedicated filter rather than a creative colour effect. Its 72 mm size determines whether it fits your lens; the number needs to match the filter size marked on the lens. The Profi Line name identifies its product range, while “Nano” is part of this model’s title. It’s a straightforward option for photographers who want a UV filter in their kit, particularly for outdoor work where ultraviolet filtering is the intended role. Use it for daylight landscapes, buildings or general outdoor scenes when you want that function in front of the lens. It’s a specific tool, not a filter for changing reflections, exposure or colour creatively. If that’s your aim, you’ll want a filter designed for that effect instead.
Specialist Note
Setup is simple: match the 72 mm marking to the filter-size marking on your lens, then fit it before you start framing. That size is the practical detail that determines whether it’ll attach to your lens. The UV label tells you its job: it filters ultraviolet light, so I’d consider it for daylight landscapes or outdoor architecture when you specifically want UV filtering in the optical path. Keep its role in mind, though. This isn’t a polarising filter for managing reflections, or a neutral-density filter for longer exposures. If you need either of those effects, this UV filter won’t provide them.
