Hama Filter Ultimate UV 72 mm
Hama Filter Ultimate UV 72 mm | A simple layer for outdoor lens protection
Keep the front of your lens covered while you shoot outdoors, without stopping to put the lens cap back on between frames. The Hama Filter Ultimate UV 72 mm is a UV filter in a 72 mm size, for a lens with a matching filter diameter. Its purpose is UV filtering, and it also puts a physical layer in front of the lens’s front element. That can be handy when you’re moving through dusty surroundings or handling your camera often. The filter isn’t an effect filter that will transform the look of a scene; think of it as a straightforward addition for everyday shooting. If you leave a filter in place during walks, street photography or landscape work, this one gives you UV filtering while keeping the front of the lens covered. The key fit detail is the 72 mm diameter, so it’s suited to lenses that take that size.
Specialist Note
The Hama Filter Ultimate UV 72 mm keeps the lens front covered while you’re shooting, so you don’t have to keep reaching for the cap between frames. The UV designation tells you its filtering purpose; with a digital camera, I’d treat the visible UV effect as secondary and value the practical coverage more. The 72 mm size is the detail that decides fit: use it on a lens with a 72 mm filter diameter. For outdoor street scenes or landscapes, leave it fitted while you work to keep dust and fingerprints off the lens itself. One sensible limit: it won’t protect a lens from a knock, so it’s a layer against everyday contact, not impact protection.
