Hama Filter UV 62mm 70062 700 Serie
Hama Filter UV 62mm 70062 700 Serie | Simple UV filtering for 62 mm lenses
Filtering ultraviolet light before it reaches the camera is the intended job of a UV filter, for outdoor scenes where distant detail can look softened by atmospheric haze. The Hama Filter UV 62mm 70062 700 Serie is a 62 mm filter from Hama’s 700 series, suited to photographers with a lens that takes a matching 62 mm filter. It gives you a direct, in-camera way to use UV filtering when photographing open landscapes, hills or a coastline; the aim is to help distant views look clearer, though conditions affect the result. This is a purpose-specific filter, not a tool for changing colour creatively or controlling exposure. It makes most sense when UV filtering is what you want from a filter, rather than as a substitute for a polarising or neutral-density filter. Match the filter diameter to the lens thread, and you can use it for scenes where UV filtering is the reason you want a filter in place.
Specialist Note
This Hama is a direct way to put UV filtering in front of the lens, rather than trying to compensate for distant-scene haze after the photo is made. The 62 mm size tells you what needs to match: the lens’s filter thread, not the camera body. Hama’s 700 series label helps distinguish this model when you’re comparing filter names or looking for the same line again. I’d consider it for open views, hills or coastal scenes; fit it to a lens with a 62 mm thread before framing, then shoot as you normally would. It suits someone who wants UV filtering, not a deliberate colour effect. I wouldn’t promise a dramatic change in every scene—the benefit depends on conditions.
