Hama Scart-Plug - 3 Cinch-Plugs (Video/Stereo) 1.5m

Hama Scart-Plug - 3 Cinch-Plugs (Video/Stereo) 1.5m | Connect SCART to video and stereo

What sets this Hama cable apart is its direct combination of one SCART plug and three cinch plugs: it gives you a straightforward way to link equipment that uses those connections for video and stereo sound. It suits anyone bringing two pieces of AV equipment together when one has a SCART socket and the other has matching cinch connections. The 1.5-metre length gives you some room to position the equipment without making this a long cable run. Its job is specific: carry the video and stereo connection between the two connector types. It isn’t a general-purpose camera cable, and that’s useful to know before choosing it. If the sockets on your equipment match the plug types named here, this is a simple, clearly defined cable option for that setup.

Connecting your equipment

At one end, the cable has a SCART plug; at the other, it has three cinch plugs for video and stereo. Match each end to the corresponding socket on your equipment, then arrange the cable so it can reach without pulling on the connections. The 1.5-metre length is the practical detail to consider when deciding where the devices will sit. It offers more placement flexibility than a very short lead, but it still makes most sense when the equipment is nearby. There’s no mystery to the layout: this cable is for a connection involving SCART at one side and three cinch connections at the other. The finish is black, a low-key colour alongside other AV leads.
