Hama USB-Extension Cable USB 2.0 480 MBIT/s 3.00 M

Hama USB-Extension Cable USB 2.0 480 Mbit/s 3.00 M | Add three metres of reach

When a USB connection falls just short, moving the device or rearranging the desk can be the usual workaround. This Hama extension cable gives you another three metres to work with, so you can place the connected device farther from the USB port. It’s a straightforward option for a setup where the cable you have doesn’t reach comfortably, whether the connection is at a desk or another spot where you use USB equipment. The cable is USB 2.0, with a stated speed of 480 Mbit/s. That makes its purpose clear: extend a USB connection while keeping the existing setup in place. The finish is black, which tends to sit quietly among other cables. It’s a simple accessory, and its main benefit is practical rather than flashy: a little more distance when the port and device aren’t where you need them.

Planning the cable run

Three metres can make a difference when a port is tucked behind a computer or the connected device needs to sit somewhere more accessible. Before routing it, consider the path the cable will take rather than measuring only the straight-line gap; corners and the route around furniture use up length too. That’s especially handy when you want to keep a device in place instead of shifting it closer to the port just to make a connection. The cable gives you extra reach, but it won’t change the location of the USB port itself. If you already know the distance you need to cover, the stated 3.00-metre length makes it easier to judge whether this extension suits your layout. No complicated setup is involved in the idea: it’s there to add length to a USB connection.
