Hama Vario 67mm ND2-400 Neutral Density Filter Coated
Hama Vario 67mm ND2-400 Neutral Density Filter Coated | Control light for slower exposures
Hama Vario 67mm ND2-400 Neutral Density Filter Coated offers variable light reduction from ND2 to ND400, giving you a way to manage exposure without changing the scene. It’s for photographers and video makers whose lens accepts a 67mm filter and who want more control in bright conditions. The adjustable range can help you use a slower shutter speed to show movement, such as smoothing the look of flowing water, or keep a wider aperture outdoors without overexposing the image. Adjust the filter to suit the light instead of relying on one fixed ND strength. The coated finish is part of its design, and its grey colour is characteristic of a neutral-density filter. Make small exposure adjustments and review the result as you go: changing light and different scenes call for different settings. This is a practical tool for exposure control, rather than a filter for adding colour effects.
Specialist Note
On a sunny afternoon, a canal’s ripples can look busy in a photograph. With this Hama, I’d lower the shutter speed towards 1/4 sec and adjust the ND strength until the exposure is workable; the water’s movement can then read more smoothly. The ND2-400 range gives you room to adapt as the light changes, rather than being tied to one fixed reduction. Its 67mm size means it suits a lens made for 67mm filters, so match that size before choosing it. I’d recommend it to someone who wants hands-on exposure control, with the sensible caveat that a moving subject won’t stay sharp at a slow shutter speed.
