Iiyama 22IW LCD Full HD IPS
Iiyama 22IW LCD Full HD IPS | A clear view for everyday desk work
The IPS panel is the defining choice here: it’s designed to keep the picture more consistent when you’re viewing the screen from an angle, rather than sitting directly in front of it. The Iiyama 22IW is an LCD monitor with Full HD resolution, suited to a home office or a desk where you move between documents, web pages and photographs. Its strength is straightforward everyday viewing, without asking you to pay attention to a long list of specialised features. For camera enthusiasts, it can serve as a screen for looking over images and checking composition; for general desk use, it gives you a familiar space for reading and working. It’s a practical option if you want an IPS Full HD monitor and don’t need a higher-resolution display for fine-detail work.
Specialist Note
Late afternoon at a shared desk, the 22IW earns its place when one person is reading a document and another is looking at a photo from the side. The IPS panel is useful in that situation: you don’t have to be perfectly square to the screen to get a comfortable view. For a simple photo check, open the image large enough to judge the framing, then zoom in on details that matter; Full HD gives you a sensible everyday viewing level, though it isn’t the screen I’d choose for close, pixel-critical image work. I’d recommend it to someone who wants one monitor for routine computer tasks and occasional photo viewing, without needing a specialist editing display.
