Ilford OmniJet Matt HR-Coated Paper 180gsm 127cm x 35m

Ilford OmniJet Matt HR-Coated Paper 180gsm 127cm x 35m | A wide-format matte paper roll

The defining decision here is the matte, HR-coated surface: Ilford puts the finish in the product name, making it straightforward to identify if that’s the kind of paper you’re looking for. This is a 180gsm paper in a 127cm x 35m format, suited to shoppers choosing paper by its stated surface, weight and size. The wide format makes it relevant to print plans that call for paper in this width, rather than a pack of individual sheets. Its name is refreshingly specific about the details it does provide. If you’re comparing papers, start with those details and the dimensions your intended prints require; they’re the clearest basis for deciding whether this roll belongs in your workflow.

Choosing by format

The measurements give you a clear way to judge the scale of the paper before buying: it is 127cm wide, with 35m of length. That makes the format a practical consideration in its own right. Think about the width required for your print job, then whether the stated length suits the amount of paper you need. There’s no need to infer a different format from the product name: its measurements are stated directly.

The surface and weight are equally useful selection points. “Matt” identifies the finish, while “HR-Coated” is the coating description Ilford uses for this paper. The product name doesn’t expand the HR abbreviation, so I’ve kept it as given. If those terms match the paper you’re looking for, the remaining check is simply whether the roll dimensions suit your plans. That’s a more dependable way to choose than relying on a general label alone.
