K&F Concept Filterkit Square: Holder ND1000
K&F Concept Filterkit Square: Holder ND1000 | Create long exposures in daylight
Without a strong neutral-density filter, bright daylight can force you into short shutter speeds, even when you want water or passing clouds to blur. The K&F Concept Filterkit Square: Holder ND1000 is a square-format filter kit identified with an ND1000 filter and holder, intended for photographers who want to make that longer exposure possible. Its natural use is considered landscape work, where you can keep the camera still and let movement soften across the frame. It also suits deliberate experiments with motion in an otherwise static scene. The ND1000 designation corresponds to roughly ten stops of light reduction, a substantial change rather than a subtle adjustment. That makes it best for photographers who have a specific slow-shutter effect in mind and are comfortable setting exposure around a dense filter. It’s a focused tool, not a general-purpose filter for everyday shooting.
Specialist Note
“Does the ND1000 make a real difference to shutter speed?” Yes—it represents roughly ten stops of light reduction, so it can turn a quick exposure into a long one. In bright conditions, a starting exposure of 1/125 sec becomes about 8 seconds with ten stops added; that’s enough to blur moving water while keeping the surroundings still, provided the camera is held steady. The square format and holder are the other useful clues in this kit’s name: it’s for photographers working with a square-filter setup, rather than a simple screw-in filter. I’d point it toward planned landscape or architectural exposures. That density is strong, so it’s less suited to small, quick exposure tweaks.
