Kaiser Filteradapter 55-62
Kaiser Filteradapter 55-62 | Fit a larger filter to a smaller thread
A filter that doesn’t match your lens’s thread can leave you with an accessory you can’t use. The Kaiser Filteradapter 55-62 bridges that gap: it lets you fit a 62 mm filter to a lens with a 55 mm thread. It’s intended for photographers who already own a larger filter, or who want to use one on a lens with the smaller fitting. That makes it a straightforward way to get more use from a filter you have, without changing the filter itself. The black colour keeps the adapter visually low-key alongside your lens. The important point is the specific size pairing: it won’t solve every filter mismatch, so it suits you when those two diameters are the ones you need to connect. For that job, it’s a small, focused accessory rather than a complicated piece of kit.
Specialist Note
This adapter only bridges one size pairing, so it won’t help if your lens and filter have different thread sizes. For the right match, though, that simplicity is the point: you can use a larger filter on a lens with a smaller thread, without replacing the filter. I’d suggest it to someone who already has a filter they want to keep using, or who wants to share that filter between suitable lenses. The black colour is unobtrusive on a camera setup. Just make sure the lens has the smaller fitting and the filter has the larger one; that’s the use this Kaiser is made for.
