Kaiser Flitsadapter w/ Middencontact
Kaiser Flitsadapter w/ Middencontact | Trigger off-camera flash for portraits
At a portrait setup, the flash is often more useful a little away from the camera, where you can shape the light on your subject. The Kaiser Flitsadapter w/ Middencontact is a flash trigger and transmitter for firing off-camera flashes, making it suited to portrait and product photography. Its central contact is the defining connection detail, and the adapter is black. Use it when you want to trigger a flash placed separately from the camera rather than rely on the flash being on-camera. For portraits, that gives you room to position the light to suit the face; for product shots, you can place it to bring out shape and surface. It’s a straightforward tool with a focused job: send the trigger so the off-camera flash can do the lighting.
Specialist Note
The central contact is the key physical detail: this adapter’s job is to trigger a flash, not provide the light itself. That distinction matters when planning a portrait or product setup; you’ll need an off-camera flash to create the illumination. As a transmitter, it lets the firing position stay apart from the flash position, which is the practical point of using off-camera light. For portraits, place the flash where it shapes the face; for a small product, move the light to reveal its contours. The black finish keeps its appearance understated in a working setup. It’s a focused accessory, not a lighting system on its own.
