Kingston 128GB SDXC Canvas Select Plus

Kingston 128GB SDXC Canvas Select Plus | Straightforward SDXC storage

The defining choice is capacity: this Kingston card holds 128GB, giving you a clear amount of removable storage to plan around. It’s an SDXC card in the Canvas Select Plus range, aimed at photographers who want a card for keeping image files together while they work. There’s no need to decipher a long model name to understand the basics: you’re looking at a Kingston SDXC card with 128GB of capacity. That makes it a straightforward option when you know the card format you need and have settled on this amount of space. In the shop, I’d start with those two questions—format and capacity—rather than guessing from a camera’s intended use. The honest limitation is that capacity alone doesn’t tell you how a card will perform in a particular workflow, so I wouldn’t choose on the number alone if speed is your main concern.

Choosing how much storage you need

A card’s capacity is easiest to judge against the way you work. Think about how many files you tend to keep on the card before copying them elsewhere, and whether you prefer to clear it regularly or leave a larger working collection in place. That gives the 128GB figure a practical context: it’s a fixed amount of storage, not a promise about how many photographs it will hold. File sizes vary, so an exact image count wouldn’t be useful without knowing your settings and the files you create. If you keep several cards in rotation, a simple label or a consistent place in your bag can also help you keep track of which one is ready to use. Those habits matter more than a guessed photo count.
