Kodak Ontwikkelaar 3.8l D76

Kodak Ontwikkelaar 3.8l D76 | A named developer for darkroom work

Without a developer, exposed film can’t become a developed negative; this Kodak D-76 product is for that darkroom step. It suits photographers who are working with black-and-white film and want a specific developer name to look for in their process. The listing identifies the volume as 3.8 litres, useful when comparing it with the amount your own workflow calls for. D-76 is a familiar name in film development, but the key point here is simple: this is Kodak developer, in a 3.8-litre size. If you already work with D-76, the name makes the choice clear. If you’re deciding between developers, start with the one your established process calls for rather than choosing by bottle size alone.

Choosing by the label

Darkroom chemicals each have a particular role, and a developer is the product used to develop film. This listing gives you three clear identifiers to work from: Kodak, D-76 and 3.8 litres. That makes it easier to match the product name and volume against the requirements of the process you use. The product title doesn’t give a mixing ratio or a processing time, so those shouldn’t be guessed from the name; follow the instructions for your chosen method. For a repeat workflow, keeping the exact developer name in view can help avoid ordering a different product by mistake. There’s no need to read more into the listing than that: Kodak D-76 developer, with a stated volume of 3.8 litres.
