Kondor Blue KB-501ABP-NR 501 Adjustable Baseplate w/o QR Space Grey
Kondor Blue KB-501ABP-NR 501 Adjustable Baseplate w/o QR Space Grey | Fine-tune your tripod setup
Without an adjustable baseplate, you’re working with the camera’s existing mounting arrangement when you want to refine its position on a tripod. The Kondor Blue KB-501ABP-NR is a tripod accessory for photographers who want that extra scope to adjust their setup. It suits a home studio, a product-photography table or any careful composition where small changes in camera position matter. Make an adjustment, check the framing, then refine it again rather than settling for the first position that works. This version is specified without QR, so it’s for shoppers who want the baseplate itself rather than a QR-equipped configuration. It’s a focused piece of kit: useful when adjustability is the point, but not a complete tripod or camera support on its own. If you’re comparing versions, pay attention to that “w/o QR” distinction before choosing.
Configuration detail
The Space Grey finish gives this version a distinct look in your setup. Its name also makes the configuration clear: it’s the adjustable baseplate version specified without QR. That distinction matters if you’re selecting an accessory to match a particular mounting workflow; choose this model when that is the version you need. The product is identified as a tripod accessory, so think of it as one part of a setup rather than a standalone support.
Specialist Note
“Is this the 501 version without QR?” Yes—the KB-501ABP-NR is the adjustable baseplate configuration named that way. I’d point it out to someone who wants room to refine camera placement on a tripod, perhaps while composing a product shot or settling a careful landscape frame. Make a small adjustment, check the composition, and repeat until the framing is right; that’s where an adjustable baseplate earns its place. The useful detail here is the distinction in the name: this one is specified without QR. If your setup depends on a QR-equipped configuration, this isn’t that version. For a straightforward tripod setup where adjustability is what you’re after, it’s a clearly identified option.
