Kondor Blue KB-MXLRF-C 12-24" Coiled Low Profile Right Angle XLR Cable
Kondor Blue KB-MXLRF-C 12-24" Coiled Low Profile Right Angle XLR Cable | Compact XLR routing for tripod rigs
Kondor Blue KB-MXLRF-C 12-24" Coiled Low Profile Right Angle XLR Cable is a coiled XLR cable with a 12–24-inch length range, made for photographers and small video crews building compact tripod setups. It’s best suited to close-together gear where a short cable run is more manageable than a long, loose lead. The coiled design helps take up slack when the connected equipment sits nearby, while still allowing the cable to extend as the spacing changes. Its low-profile, right-angle form is useful where a straight connector would project farther from the connection. As a tripod accessory, it’s intended for tidy routing around a rig rather than for covering distance between far-apart devices. Use it for a short XLR link between nearby equipment, keeping the cable route close to the setup. The limited reach is also the main practical boundary: this is a compact connection cable, not a long-run solution.
Specialist Note
For photographers filming interviews or short pieces on a tripod, this cable makes sense when the XLR connection is close to the rest of the rig. The 12–24-inch coiled reach gives you a little room to reposition nearby gear without leaving a long loop hanging loose. I’d route the right-angle end so the cable turns alongside the connection; its low-profile shape helps keep that bend close rather than sticking straight out. That can make a compact setup easier to keep neat. It pairs best with equipment positioned within that short reach, so I wouldn’t choose it for a run across a room. For a nearby XLR link on a tripod setup, though, its specific shape and length are the point.
