Laowa Lens Cap For 10mm f/4.0 (LAO-LC1040)
Laowa Lens Cap For 10mm f/4.0 (LAO-LC1040) | Keeps its lens covered between shots
Without a cap, the front of a lens is left uncovered between shoots. The Laowa Lens Cap For 10mm f/4.0 is a lens-specific cover for owners of the Laowa 10mm f/4.0. It gives you a simple way to cover the lens when it’s off the camera, packed away or sitting on a shelf. That suits photographers who use this particular Laowa lens and want an uncomplicated part of their pack-up routine, rather than an accessory that changes how the lens photographs. Put the cap on when you finish shooting and remove it before taking pictures; its role is to cover the lens while it’s idle. If you’re organising your camera bag or keeping your kit together at home, this is the model-specific cover to look for. It’s a small accessory, but having the right cap close to hand makes it easier to put the lens away covered.
Specialist Note
At pack-up, I’d return the cap to the Laowa 10mm f/4.0 before the lens goes into a bag or onto a shelf. The 10mm and f/4.0 in the name identify the lens this cap is intended for, so I’d keep it paired with that particular Laowa rather than treat it as a universal spare. For a tidy bag routine, cover the lens as soon as you finish shooting, then take the cap off before framing your next picture. It suits owners of this specific lens who want a straightforward cover for storage between sessions. That’s the appeal—and the limit: it covers the lens; it doesn’t change the image you make.
