It’s an interchangeable lens kit for Leica L-mount cameras with APS-C sensors, designed for video and filmmaking. Focus is manual, which suits filmmakers who want to set focus themselves and make deliberate adjustments during a shot. The three focal lengths give you room to move from a broader view to a closer composition; they’re particularly useful for scripted scenes, interviews and other work where shot size is planned in advance. If you prefer autofocus to handle focusing, this isn’t the kit to reach for. For controlled filmmaking, though, it offers a useful spread of focal lengths in one coordinated bundle.
Specialist Note
Manual focus does ask you to take responsibility for every focus change, so this won’t suit a run-and-gun style where you want the camera to do that work. I’d still recommend this bundle for filmmakers who plan their shots and want control over focus. On an APS-C L-mount body, the 27mm, 35mm and 50mm lenses give angles of view similar to about 40.5mm, 52.5mm and 75mm on full frame. I’d use 27mm for a roomier scene, then choose 50mm for a tighter interview shot; set focus deliberately for each framing. The 35mm gives you a middle option when neither feels quite right.
