Laowa Sunlight 70-135mm Blue (VE70135PLB)
Laowa Sunlight 70-135mm Blue | UV filtration in a named blue variant
Without a filter, ultraviolet light reaches the front of your lens; this Laowa is identified as a UV filter for that job. It suits photographers looking for UV filtration and who want the blue variant named in the product title. The clearest reason to consider it is straightforward: it’s a UV filter, rather than a filter intended to add a creative colour effect or change exposure. The name also includes “70-135mm”, so keep that full designation in mind when comparing product listings. Don’t assume that number is a filter-thread diameter or a statement of compatible focal lengths; the title alone doesn’t establish either. “Blue” is part of the variant name, but it doesn’t tell us whether the filter itself has a blue tint or produces a colour effect. If you need a filter with a particular fit or look, those details matter, so treat the name as identification rather than a complete specification.
Specialist Note
At the product shelf, I’d keep “70-135mm Blue” together as the identifying name, rather than using the number as a shortcut for filter size. That saves confusion when you’re comparing listings. The Blue wording is just as important: it identifies this version, but the name alone doesn’t tell me that it adds a blue cast to your photographs. As a UV filter, its stated role is UV filtration, so it’s for someone specifically seeking that type of filter. A practical use is to select it for a setup where UV filtration is the aim; first make sure the physical fit is right from reliable fit information, rather than guessing from “70-135mm”. That’s the honest limit of what I can recommend from this product name.
