Leofoto VR-150S Lens Support w/ Clamp
Leofoto VR-150S Lens Support w/ Clamp | Support for tripod-mounted lenses
Without a dedicated lens support, the camera’s tripod connection has to carry the camera-and-lens setup by itself. The Leofoto VR-150S is a tripod accessory made to support a lens, with a clamp named as part of the product. It suits photographers who use a tripod and want support at the lens as well as at the camera. Its purpose is specific: helping hold the lens in a tripod setup, rather than adding a general-purpose platform or changing how you operate the camera. That makes it worth considering when you want the lens supported while composing a fixed view or working through a series of frames. The product name tells you what it’s for, but doesn’t give a load limit or a list of compatible equipment, so it’s best treated as a dedicated support component rather than a universal fit.
Specialist Note
“Does the VR-150S support the lens as part of a tripod setup?” Yes—that’s the job its name points to. The lens support gives the lens a supporting role of its own, rather than leaving it all to the camera-side connection; the clamp is the securing part of this accessory. I’d look at it if you regularly compose tripod-mounted still-life frames or keep a fixed view while making a run of images. Set up the tripod and position the support as part of that arrangement, then keep it in place as you work through the frames. One practical limit: it’s an accessory, not a tripod or head, so it belongs within a complete support setup.
