Marumi Circ Pola Filter Super DHG 82 mm
Marumi Circ Pola Filter Super DHG 82 mm | Control reflections in-camera
The defining choice is a circular polarising design: it gives you control over reflected light while you’re making the photograph. The Marumi Circ Pola Filter Super DHG is for photographers who want to reduce glare from surfaces such as water or glass, or adjust the look of a bright sky. It’s most useful when you can see the reflection you want to manage and can adjust the filter as you compose. The 82 mm size makes it relevant to lenses with a matching filter thread, so it’s worth checking the size printed on your lens before choosing. For landscape photographers, it can help bring more definition to foliage and sky; for travel and architectural photography, it can help tame reflections in windows. It’s a straightforward way to shape those effects at the camera, rather than relying on editing afterwards.
Specialist Note
Photographers framing lakes, shop windows or leafy scenes will get the clearest reason to use this Marumi. I’d rotate the circular polariser while looking through the camera, stopping when the water glare or window reflection is reduced to the level you want. Its 82 mm size is useful when your lens has an 82 mm filter thread; it won’t be the right fit for a different thread size. Do keep in mind that a polariser reduces the light reaching the camera, so in dim conditions you may need a slower shutter speed or a higher ISO. In bright conditions, that trade-off is easier to manage.
