Metabones Canon FD - Nikon Z Mount T

Metabones Canon FD - Nikon Z Mount T | Bring FD lenses to Nikon Z

Bring a Canon FD lens into a Nikon Z camera setup with the Metabones Canon FD - Nikon Z Mount T converter. It’s for photographers who already work with Canon FD lenses and want to use one on a Nikon Z camera, rather than leave that lens out of the kit. The named mount pairing is the key point here: Canon FD on the lens side, Nikon Z on the camera side. That makes this a focused accessory for a specific combination, not a general-purpose converter. If those are the two mounts in your setup, the product name gives you a direct way to identify the pairing. It’s a simple idea, but getting the mount names right matters; they’re what make this converter relevant to your lens and camera combination.

A specific mount pairing

Think of the Mount T as a bridge between the two named systems. It’s aimed at photographers building a setup around an FD lens and a Z camera, including anyone who wants to keep that lens in use as their camera kit changes. The useful first step is to identify the mount on the lens you plan to use and the mount on the camera. This product is specifically named for Canon FD and Nikon Z, so that pairing is its purpose. If your equipment matches those names, you can assess it as the converter for that combination; if it doesn’t, this isn’t the pairing described by the product. There’s no need to infer a broader fit from the title. The appeal is its clear, specific role: connecting those two mounts.
