MID49 M49-DB8-Vpower Distribution Box DB-8 Sony Burano V-Mount
MID49 M49-DB8-Vpower Distribution Box DB-8 Sony Burano V-Mount | Power distribution for a tripod setup
Keeping a camera rig’s power setup organised can be a challenge, especially when the build is centred on a specific camera system. The MID49 M49-DB8-Vpower DB-8 is a distribution box for a Sony Burano V-Mount setup, listed as a tripod accessory. It’s intended for crews planning a Burano rig around that power configuration, including operators who want to account for the distribution box as part of a tripod-mounted build. Its appeal is specific: it’s made for the Sony Burano V-Mount context named in the product, rather than being a general tripod component. That makes it worth considering when you’re laying out a dedicated rig and deciding how its accessories fit together. If your setup is built around a different camera system, this isn’t the product to choose by assumption; its stated purpose is tied to the Sony Burano V-Mount configuration.
Specialist Note
The scope here is quite specific, so I wouldn’t suggest this as a general tripod accessory. That focus is exactly why it makes sense for a Sony Burano V-Mount build: the DB-8 name identifies the distribution box for that setup, while its tripod-accessory category makes it relevant when you’re planning a rig that will be used on sticks. I’d decide where it belongs in your tripod layout before settling your cable routing, so it’s considered as part of the complete build rather than added as an afterthought. It suits Burano operators who want a dedicated distribution-box option in their V-Mount rig; it’s a considered fit, not a universal add-on.
