Nedis Action Cam | Capture action in 5K, on land or in water

Active footage can keep the pace of a day out, and the Nedis Action Cam records video at 5K and 30 frames per second. Its two screens give you a view on the camera from either side, a handy detail when you want to check your framing while filming yourself. With water resistance to 30 metres, it’s also suited to recording in and around water within that stated depth. The camera is listed at 16 megapixels, too. Those headline details make this a straightforward option for people who want an action camera for trips, activities and water-based outings, without moving to a larger camera setup. One thing to keep in mind: the stated video rate is 30 frames per second, so this is the recording setting to consider when deciding whether it suits the motion you want to capture.

The dual-screen design is especially relevant if you often appear in your own clips: you can use a screen to keep an eye on the shot rather than framing entirely by guesswork. For other action footage, 5K recording gives you a clear resolution figure to compare against your needs, while the 30 fps rate tells you the listed capture speed. The 30-metre water-resistance rating makes water use part of the camera’s stated purpose, though it’s sensible to stay within that limit. If you’re choosing a compact camera mainly for still photographs, note that the title gives a megapixel figure but doesn’t identify a separate photo mode. For video-led use, the combination of a double screen, 5K recording and a clear depth rating is the useful starting point.
