Nedis Optical Audio Cable TosLink M - TosLink M 2.0m GY

Nedis Optical Audio Cable TosLink M - TosLink M 2.0m GY | A direct optical audio connection

When an audio setup has matching optical sockets but no cable to join them, a small connector detail can hold things up. This Nedis cable has TosLink male plugs at both ends, giving you a direct connection between devices with matching TosLink sockets. Its 2.0-metre length gives you some room to route between components without defaulting to a longer cable. It’s suited to connecting an optical audio output to an optical audio input, rather than converting between different connector types. The cable is grey, which can help you pick it out among darker leads behind a TV or audio unit. One practical point: measure the route around shelves or furniture, not just the straight-line gap between devices. That’ll give you a better idea of whether the cable can reach without being pulled taut.

Check the connection and route

First, identify the audio output on the sending device and the optical audio input on the receiving device. Both need a TosLink socket for this cable’s plugs to match. The same plug type is used at each end, so there’s no different connector to account for at the far end. This is a straightforward cable connection; it won’t convert one socket type into another.

Think about where the cable will run, too. A lead may need extra reach to pass around a stand, follow the back of a cabinet or leave a little slack for moving a component. Planning that path before setting up can save you from discovering that a short, direct measurement wasn’t enough. If the devices have matching TosLink connections and the planned route works for this length, this cable keeps the connection choice simple.
