Nedis Speaker-Cable | 100m for planned speaker runs

Without a dedicated speaker cable, it’s easy to end up trying to make an unsuitable wire do the job. This Nedis cable is made for speaker connections, with two copper conductors, each with a 4.00 mm² cross-section, supplied in a 100.0m length. It suits anyone wiring speakers and who wants to plan the route and cut the cable to the lengths needed. The round profile and stated length make it a straightforward option to consider for longer runs or more than one connection. Its real strength is that combination of a substantial conductor cross-section and plenty of length to work with; it’s less suited to someone who only needs a short, ready-made lead. Before cutting, take time to measure the intended route carefully. A little planning matters when you’re working with a full 100 metres.

Planning your speaker wiring

Think through where each cable needs to go before you start cutting. Measure along the route you actually plan to use, rather than relying on the straight-line distance between the speaker and the other end of the connection. That gives you a more useful estimate of how much cable each run needs. If you’re making several connections, jot down the measurements first and check the total against the 100.0m length. It’s a simple step, but it can help avoid cutting a run too short or using more cable than planned.

The title identifies this as a round speaker cable with a 2 x 4.00 mm² copper conductor arrangement. Those details help you compare it with the cable required for your particular setup. Keep the cable route and the length of each run in mind when deciding whether this format is right for your project. No connector type is specified, so treat it as cable for your own wiring rather than a finished lead.
