Novoflex Borst-EN Schouder Support
Novoflex Borst-EN Schouder Support | Extra support for handheld video
Handheld video is easier to manage when the camera has extra support, especially during longer takes. The Novoflex Borst-EN Schouder Support is a shoulder rig for that job: it gives you a way to support the camera at your shoulder while filming, rather than relying entirely on your arms. It suits video makers who work handheld and want a more supported setup for interviews, event coverage or following a subject. The benefit is practical: you can concentrate more on framing and moving with the shot, instead of simply holding the camera out in front of you. It’s best understood as support for handheld work, not a replacement for a tripod or a promise of perfectly steady footage. The supplier lists it in black. If your filming often involves moving shots or extended handheld takes, this is a focused accessory to consider for adding support to your working position.
Specialist Note
The Novoflex Borst-EN is a shoulder rig whose main job is to support handheld video work. I’d consider it for a one-take follow shot or a long interview where holding the camera unsupported becomes tiring: settle the rig at your shoulder, then make measured movements as you follow the action. That support is useful when you want to stay mobile, but it won’t give you tripod-style locked-off framing. The black finish keeps the look understated in a working setup. If your video is mostly static, a shoulder rig may be more than you need; it makes most sense when you intend to keep the camera in your hands and move with the scene.
