Radius 15cm Nimbus Windshield (19/22) Black Fur

Radius 15cm Nimbus Windshield (19/22) Black Fur | Keep outdoor wind off your audio

Cleaner outdoor dialogue starts with keeping wind off the microphone. The Radius 15cm Nimbus Windshield is a furry microphone cover for recording situations where moving air can distract from speech or other sound. It suits videographers, interviewers and anyone recording audio outside who wants a simple way to reduce wind reaching the microphone. The black fur is the defining feature: it provides a barrier between the breeze and the microphone, without adding another electronic device to your setup. The 19/22 marking gives you a specific size cue when matching the windshield to your microphone. Use it for a spoken interview, a piece to camera or location audio where the surroundings matter but wind noise doesn’t. It’s a focused accessory rather than an all-purpose audio fix: it can help with wind, but won’t remove traffic, voices or other background sounds.

Using it outdoors

Fit the windshield before recording, then listen to a short test before you begin. Keep the microphone clear of clothing and anything else that could brush against the fur. That small check helps you separate wind noise from handling or contact noise, so you can decide whether the audio is ready for a longer take.
