Radius Red VideoMic Go II Mini Windcover
Radius Red VideoMic Go II Mini Windcover | Help tame wind on recordings
Wind across a microphone can add a rough, distracting layer to speech, particularly outdoors. The Radius Red VideoMic Go II Mini Windcover is a small-format windcover named for the VideoMic Go II, intended to help address that problem. It suits owners of that microphone who record spoken pieces outside, capture quick interviews or want a dedicated windcover in their audio kit. Its appeal is specific: the Mini designation gives you a compact option rather than something bulky to carry for occasional recording. A windcover won’t make a blustery location quiet, and positioning still matters; think of it as one part of managing wind around the mic, not a substitute for finding some shelter. If wind is the recurring issue making speech harder to use, this is a focused accessory to consider for the VideoMic Go II.
Specialist Note
This is a small, targeted accessory, so it won’t solve every wind problem on its own. I’d consider it if you already use the VideoMic Go II and want a windcover specifically named for that microphone. The Mini label points to a compact format, handy when you’re packing light for an outdoor interview or a short spoken clip. The red finish also makes it easier to pick out among your gear. For a cleaner result, use the cover and record from a sheltered position where possible; it’s a sensible pairing of two simple precautions. The “II” in VideoMic Go II is a useful matching cue: don’t read “Mini” as a promise of universal fit.
