Radius Windcover For Rycote WS2 Windshield Black Fur
Radius Windcover For Rycote WS2 Windshield Black Fur | Protects your WS2 in a kit bag
Radius Windcover For Rycote WS2 Windshield Black Fur is a protective pouch for the Rycote WS2 windshield, identified as the black-fur version. It’s for sound recordists and production crews who carry that windshield alongside other equipment and want a layer between it and the contents of a larger bag. Its job is storage protection: it helps guard the windshield against scratches and everyday bumps while your gear is packed together. That makes it useful between recording setups, on the way to a location, or when the WS2 is put away after a session. Place the windshield in its pouch before packing it into your main equipment bag, rather than letting it rub directly against harder accessories. The product name specifies both the WS2 and the black-fur version, so this is a focused accessory for that named windshield, not a general-purpose case for a complete audio setup. It’s a straightforward way to give one piece of kit some protection in transit.
Specialist Note
For sound recordists capturing interviews or location dialogue with a Rycote WS2 windshield, this pouch gives that specific piece of kit a place of its own in the bag. The WS2 reference is useful when packing: keep the pouch paired with that windshield and put it back around it before adding the gear to your larger bag, so the windshield is less exposed to scratches and bumps. The black-fur designation identifies the version you’re choosing, which helps distinguish it when sorting audio accessories. I’d treat it as protection for packed gear, not as padding for a hard drop or rough handling. It suits crews who regularly put the WS2 away between recording setups.
