Rycote Grey Overcovers: 30 X Stickes & 6 Grey Fur Discs
Rycote Grey Overcovers: 30 X Stickes & 6 Grey Fur Discs | A considered kit for microphone placement
For a neat, low-profile microphone placement, Rycote Grey Overcovers bring together 30 Stickies and 6 grey fur discs. The set is suited to recording setups where you want to position a microphone close to clothing without a bulky arrangement drawing attention. Its two components give you different options: the Stickies provide the placement pieces, while the fur discs offer a soft covering for the microphone. With 30 Stickies in the pack, there are plenty for preparing several positions; the six fur discs are a smaller, more limited supply. That makes this a practical accessory to consider when planning discreet microphone placement, particularly if you want the option of adding a fur covering at selected positions. It’s a compact, purpose-specific set rather than a general collection of microphone accessories.
The different quantities are useful to keep in mind as you prepare a setup: you have five Stickies for each fur disc. You can plan where a fur disc is needed, then use the remaining Stickies for other microphone positions. The set keeps those two parts together, so you can choose between a placement using a Sticky alone and one with a fur disc as well.
Specialist Note
The soft fur discs are the tactile detail here: they give you a covering to place over a microphone when you want a softer finish to the setup. I’d look at this pack for discreet clothing-adjacent placement, with the 30 Stickies giving you more placement pieces than fur discs. For a single microphone position, set aside one Sticky and one fur disc; if you’re arranging several positions, remember the pack includes only six discs. That’s the honest limitation: the Stickies outnumber the fur discs, so it’s best suited to setups where you don’t need a fur covering at every position.
