Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 0.9 6.6x6.6
Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 0.9 6.6x6.6 | Control light for longer exposures
Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 0.9 6.6x6.6 is an ND filter with a 0.9 density marking and a 6.6x6.6 format. It’s for photographers and cinematographers who need to reduce the light reaching the camera when composing an exposure in bright conditions. An ND filter can give you room to choose a slower shutter speed or a wider aperture without changing the scene’s lighting. That makes this filter relevant for work such as rendering flowing water with motion or controlling exposure in a bright outdoor scene. The 0.9 marking helps you identify the density you’re choosing in a filter setup, while the stated format helps you select a holder designed for that size. The name also identifies it as part of Schneider’s Rhodium FSND range. If you already work with filters in this format, this is a clearly marked option to consider for planned exposure adjustments.
Specialist Note
Landscape photographers shaping the movement of water in daylight are among the people I’d point towards this filter. The 0.9 marking gives you a specific density to plan around, rather than an unspecified ND strength; build it into your exposure decisions when you want a slower shutter for a flowing-water effect. Its 6.6x6.6 format matters just as much in practice: you’ll need a holder made for that format, so it can fit into an established square-filter setup. I’d consider it for deliberate exposure control on outdoor scenes, not as a general-purpose accessory. The useful limit to keep in mind is that this one density won’t cover every lighting situation.
