Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 1.2 SEH 4x5.65
Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 1.2 SEH 4x5.65 | Four stops of light control
Reduce incoming light by four stops while keeping the exposure choices you want for a bright scene. The Schneider CFG Rhodium FSND 1.2 SEH 4x5.65 is a neutral-density filter in the 4x5.65 format, suited to cinematographers and other image-makers working with this filter size. Its 1.2 density gives you a clear, fixed amount of light reduction: useful when you want to hold a chosen shutter speed or use a wider aperture in bright conditions, rather than changing those settings just to control exposure. That can help preserve the motion rendering or depth of field you’ve planned for the shot. It’s a specific tool, not a variable-density filter; the reduction stays at four stops. Choose it when that amount of control suits the scene and your exposure plan.
Specialist Note
The 4x5.65 format gives this filter a broad face to position in your shooting setup, which is handy when you need controlled light reduction across a composed frame. I’d consider the 1.2 density for a bright exterior where you want to keep a deliberate shutter speed, such as 1/50 sec, rather than letting the light force a faster setting. Four stops is a substantial, fixed reduction, so plan for that step when setting exposure; it won’t let you fine-tune the density continuously. This suits film and video makers who already work with the 4x5.65 format and need a defined amount of ND, rather than a flexible variable adjustment.
