SmallHD Sun Hood For 703UB Monitor
SmallHD Sun Hood For 703UB Monitor | Shade the screen in bright light
When bright surroundings make a monitor harder to view, a sun hood helps shade the screen so you can keep an eye on your framing. The SmallHD Sun Hood is made for the 703UB monitor, giving this particular display a dedicated hood for working in daylight or near strong ambient light. It suits camera operators and crew who need to check the monitor while setting up a shot, rather than relying on a hand or an improvised cover to block the light. Use it when framing an exterior scene or reviewing a shot near a bright window. Its purpose is straightforward: help make the 703UB’s screen easier to view in those conditions. This is a focused accessory for that monitor, not a general monitor hood with a stated range of compatible models.
Specialist Note
The SmallHD Sun Hood gives the 703UB a dedicated shade for viewing in bright surroundings, rather than leaving you to block light with a hand or a loose cover. The name tells you its role: it’s a sun hood, so it helps shade the display; the 703UB designation makes the intended monitor specific. I’d consider it for exterior framing, where you need to keep checking what’s in the shot, or when reviewing a take beside a bright window. Pair it with the 703UB and use it to manage the light falling on the screen. It affects viewing comfort, not the exposure or image recorded by the camera.
