SmallHD Ultra Matte Screen Protector (Ultra 7)
SmallHD Ultra Matte Screen Protector (Ultra 7) | Protect your Ultra 7 display
A screen protector gives the SmallHD Ultra 7’s display a protective surface for day-to-day use. This one is named for the Ultra 7, so it’s for owners of that field monitor who want to protect its screen while using it to frame shots or review images. “Ultra Matte” also identifies the finish: choose it if you prefer a matte surface on the display rather than a glossy one. That may suit a working setup where the monitor is checked frequently during a shoot. The main benefit is straightforward: you can add a layer between the monitor’s display and the contact it may encounter as part of regular use. It’s a focused accessory, rather than an upgrade to the monitor’s monitoring tools. For an Ultra 7 owner who wants a screen protector with a matte finish, this is the specific option to consider.
Specialist Note
A common oversight with a new field monitor is thinking about screen protection only after it’s already part of the daily kit. This protector is specifically named for the SmallHD Ultra 7, so it gives Ultra 7 owners a direct option to consider for covering its display. The “Ultra Matte” wording matters too: it tells you to expect a matte finish, which is worth choosing deliberately if that’s the surface you want to work with while framing on set or reviewing a shot between takes. I’d look at it as protection for the display, not a way to add monitoring features. If you want a glossy surface, this matte version may not suit your preference.
