SmallRig 4897 RC 100B COB LED Video Light Kit (w/ Battery Grip Handle)

SmallRig 4897 RC 100B COB LED Video Light Kit (w/ Battery Grip Handle) | A light kit with a battery grip handle

When you’re planning a video setup around a dedicated light, it helps to know exactly what kind of fixture you’re choosing. The SmallRig 4897 RC 100B is a COB LED video light kit, and the title identifies a battery grip handle as part of the package. That makes it relevant to videographers and content creators looking for a light kit built around this particular combination, rather than a light alone. The name is specific: SmallRig, model 4897 RC 100B, COB LED, video light kit. It’s a straightforward starting point when you’re comparing lighting options for a planned shoot. I’d think of it as a lighting component to work into your setup, not as a complete description of everything you’ll need on set. If that light-and-handle format matches your plan, this is the model to look at.

Choosing it for your setup

For an interview, a product shot or a short video scene, a dedicated video light can be part of the lighting plan. The RC 100B is clearly identified as an LED fixture, so you can consider it specifically as a video-lighting option. The COB designation is also part of its model description; it’s useful when you want to keep the exact type of light in view while comparing products.

The battery grip handle is the detail that gives this kit its particular format. If you’re choosing between a light kit that names this handle and a different kind of lighting product, it’s worth deciding whether that form suits the way you intend to work. I wouldn’t read further technical promises into the model name: the reliable points here are the product type, the COB LED description and the handle named in the title. That’s enough to identify what the kit is, and to see whether it belongs in your lighting shortlist.
